The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was drafted by the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, chaired by then First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt. Education is seen as a way to contribute to the empowerment of people, improve their quality of life and increase their ability in the decision process leading to social, cultural and economic.

He brings a profound reform of education, in which programs and pre-service training, textbooks, methodology, classroom management concerns, and the organization of education at all levels.

Human rights education includes learning and practice of human rights. A holistic approach to education for human rights means that human rights are implemented at all levels of education and are taught by the transfer of knowledge and experience.

Education for Human Rights helps people feel the importance of human rights, internalize human rights values and integrate them into their way of life.
